Wild by nature<\/a><\/strong> (Sarah Marquis)An incredible woman who sets out, alone, on expeditions lasting several months.She has written several books, and this is the very first one I read. I was impressed by this woman’s courage and her love of nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

A walk in the woods<\/strong><\/a> (Bill Bryson)Another trekking story, a little less conventional and very funny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayward Women<\/a><\/strong> (Annabel Abbs)A lovely discovery, and I admire the stories and courage of these women.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

En Solitaire \/ Alleen <\/a> (Tim Voors)<\/strong>Another PCT book (a future project? ;)), also very well written and much to my liking. I love the layout and the author’s watercolor illustrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking<\/a><\/strong> (Henry David Thoreau) I bought the miniature version of this book for my first trek and since then it never leaves my backpack. I love flipping through it during bivouacs, but above all I slip a little souvenir into it on each of my treks (feathers, leaves, flowers, etc.). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

100% animals and nature<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n

John Muir. My Life with Nature <\/a> (Joseph Bharat Cornell)<\/strong>I discovered this book thanks to this article and fell in love with it!This 19th<\/sup> century man’s love and respect for nature is incredible.It’s magical to see your own thoughts described by someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Why Cafe<\/a><\/strong> (John P. Strelecky)This book holds a very special place in my heart. Through its content, it is a book that makes you reflect deeply on your own life, but also because of the memory attached to it. I discovered it in the library of a Quebecer who had graciously left us his home for the night even though he barely knew us. His kindness, generosity and trust left a lasting impression on me! Thank you Danny. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Little Prince<\/a><\/strong> (Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry)Very well known, but in my opinion, often read too young.The first time I read it, I was a teenager and didn’t understand the message.Today I read it at least once a year and I love it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
